From Summer Bay to Southport - Snow White wishes G'day to Home and Away's Lynne McGranger

The Southport Theatre and Convention Centre are delighted to announce that Lynne McGranger will be casting her spell over Southport audiences this Christmas as the Wicked Queen in the spectacular family pantomime Snow White.

Sydney born Lynne is recognised world-wide for her portrayal of Irene Roberts in Home and Away, a role she has played since 1993.

In 2014 she was runner up on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars. Lynne used the show to raise awareness and much needed funds for the Bears of Hope Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support charity.

This will be the thrid time Lynne has worked with Producers’ Imagine Theatre having previously appeared as the Fairy at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe back in 2008 and last year as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella in Newark.

“I am delighted to be working with Imagine Theatre once again,” says Lynne. “I had a great time in both Crewe and Newark made some wonderful friends. I love the Imagine style of pantomime as they focus heavily on the quality of the production with strong stories, alongside a lot of humour that appeals to all ages.”

“The UK panto experience is always exciting even though I am working hard and doing two shows a day, it's also like a holiday. I love being somewhere new, meeting people and making new friends. I am really excited that this year I will be getting to play one of the most iconic fairy tale baddies – it is going to be great fun.”

Steve Boden, Managing Director of Imagine Theatre says “All of us at Imagine are delighted to be working with Lynne once again. Not only is she a brilliant performer she is a wonderful person to have around and a joy to work with.”
