About Us
Imagine Theatre are a pantomime and theatre production company. We are determined to bring the highest quality productions to our venues and audiences.
Originally known as Tell-Tale and then WISH Theatre, the team behind Imagine is Steve Boden, Sarah Boden and Iain Lauchlan, along with a great supporting team. All Imagine's pantomime scripts are written by Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton who are best known as the creators of the hit children’s TV shows ‘Tweenies’, ‘Fun Song Factory’, ‘Boo!’ ‘BB3B’ and ‘Jim Jam and Sunny’.
Tell-Tale was formed in 1994 by Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton. They were joined by Karl Woolley in 1997 and Helen Cadwallader and Steve Boden in 1998. Under their management, Tell-Tale grew steadily to become one of the leading producers of television and theatre for children in the UK. In 2004, it was taken over and became a division of Entertainment Rights Plc. It was following the take over of Tell-Tale that the 'pantomime' arm of Tell-Tale was released from Entertainment Rights out to Will, Iain, Steve and Helen (hence WISH) and a new company was formed in May 2005.
Then in April 2009, the company evolved and became Imagine Theatre in an exciting new chapter, with Steve and Sarah taking full ownership and control of the company.
Imagine operates a theatre production company from offices in Coventry, a 25,000 foot scenery store in Redditch and a costume store in York.
Under Steve's guidance, the team at Imagine are responsible for facilitating pantomime production in more than thirty venues across the country, from providing producers with single props through to the staging of entire production.
