Star Studded cast announced for Readings biggest ever panto!
DANI HARMER, KEN MORLEY, EMMA BARTON, DEBBIE MCGEE,
JON CLEGG, PAUL MORSE, RICHARD MORSE

With the biggest and starriest line-up for years and the BIGGEST GIANT in pantoland, Jack and the Beanstalk will be a pantomime you won’t want to miss!

Heading the cast as the beautiful Princess Tamara is local superstar and star of BBC’s award winning “Tracy Beaker” and “Strictly Come Dancing” DANI HARMER, who is currently touring the UK in Richard O’Briens legendary Rock musical “The Rocky Horror Show” as well as appearing as Tracy Beaker on television screens around the world.
Joining Dani will Coronation Street’s “Reg Holdsworth” aka KEN MORLEY as the King of Merrydale and playing the hero Jack is EMMA BARTON, Eastenders “Honey Mitchell”. They will be joined by Radio Berkshire’s DEBBIE MCGEE who appears as the beautiful and magical Queen of the Flower Fairies

Joining as Simple Simon is the hilarious comedian and impressionist JON CLEGG with a host of comedy characters and family fun. RICHARD MORSE reprises his role as the Giants henchman Fleshcreep. The headline cast is completed by PAUL MORSE, one of Britain’s top dames, currently on the UK tour of “Rising Damp” who will play the hysterical Dame Trot.

With all the trimmings that you’ve come to expect from the regions biggest panto including spectacular sets stunning costumes, live music and the messiest and craziest slapstick scenes in panto, make sure you book your seats now as many performances are selling out quickly.

Debbie McGee joins magical cast

Welcome to Debbie McGee who will play the fairy.

Since 2008 Debbie has hosted the popular Sunday morning radio show for BBC Radio Berkshire and is thrilled to spreading some magic of her own at the Hexagon this Christmas.

For three years Debbie was Artistic Director and Choreographer of the Classical Ballet Company, for which she created two new classical ballets, The Artist’s Dream and Phantom – The Ballet. In addition to this she has written her own cookbook, Dine with Debbie – A Magical Touch and appeared in the popular children’s television show Wizbit.


Coronation Street legend Ken Morley to play the King

Welcome to Ken Morley who will play the King.

Ken is known to households throughout the UK as the irrepressible Reg Holdsworth from Coronation Street, a role he played for six years. Since leaving the soap he has appeared on television in Bremner Bird and Fortune and is a series regular in the popular ITV sit-com Benidorm, which sees him re-united with his former on-screen wife Sherrie Hewson.

Reg has appeared on the West End stage as Baron Bomburst in the hugely successful musical stage adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the famous London Palladium. He has also toured the UK with the outrageous musical The Rocky Horror Show as well as the plays Business Affairs and There’s No Place Like a Home.


Paul Morse to play 'Dame Trot'

We are delighted to welcome the hilarous Paul Morse to Jack and the Beanstalk. Paul will play Dame Trot. Paul can currently be found touring the UK in 'Rising Damp' and played an Ugly Sister for Imagine at the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe in 2012. Welcome Paul! x
