Hen Night Horror
This is something a little different for Imagine Theatre, but…
Hen Night Horror is back for 2026!
The riotous original musical comedy-horror that’s had audiences screaming with laughter returns this Autumn.
Starring Dani Heron from Tron and Traverse Theatre’s Black Hole Sign and Emmy Award Winning Crime for Britbox as Lydia. Writer and actor of Funeral for my Boobs, (Play, Pie and a Pint) Hannah Howie as Donna and taking on the role of the bride to be Amanda, is stage performer Jennifer Neil from The Steamie (30th Anniversary Scottish Tour). Reprising their roles is screen and stage actor Alan Orr as Mr Jefferies and fresh off the mega-bucks smash hit One Day at Edinburgh's Lyceum, Scotland’s West End legend Matthew McKenna as PC Walters.
Amanda’s dream wedding is just days away, but her hen night is already a disaster. Her bridesmaids are at war, secrets are bubbling over, and tensions are ready to explode. Then the girls realise something far worse than their friendship issues is lurking in the shadows… They’re not alone.
What starts as a boozy getaway quickly descends into pure comedy chaos, packed with hilarious lyrics, belting tunes, sharp Scottish wit and some genuinely spine‑tingling surprises.

FAQ’s
What age is Hen Night Horror suitable for?
18+, adults only. It's definitely a *bit* too naughty for children! The show carries a strict 18+ rating due to adult humour, strong language, and themes of comic horror. But trust us, it’s scary in a funny way – like a really really funny way!
How do I book tickets?
Details of the whole tour can be found at https://www.imaginetheatre.co.uk/hen-night-horror which includes booking links for every venue
What is Hen Night Horror?
Hen Night Horror is a riotous Scottish musical comedy-horror following a chaotic, booze-filled getaway at a woodland cabin that quickly turns into pure comedy chaos and genuine frights. Written by Fraser Boyle and Ali Cleland, the play is filled with adult humour and catchy original music. If you’re up for a fun, crazy, bonkers night out, grab all your pals, a cheeky cocktail or five and experience a Hen Night like you’ve never seen before…
What do people think of Hen Night Horror?
We'll let the universal 5* feedback speak for itself. Are you ready to belly laugh so hard it hurts, and just when you think you can't laugh any harder, it gets funnier? Yes? Then get yersel’ to a theatre to see it!
What should audiences expect?
Expect a fast-paced mix of jump scares, strobes, and outrageous physical comedy. It’s frequently compared to a campy, adult pantomime for friends who enjoy dark, gross-out, and raunchy humour mixed with belting musical numbers - oh, and did we mention it’s really really funny? (just imagine the questions being asked of us by finance when they saw the receipts for some of the props we had to buy for the show!!)
