6th January 2011 - This year's interesting panto facts...
As the Imagine Theatre 2010/11 panto season draws to a close, here’s this year’s interesting panto facts.
During the 2010 Imagine Panto Season…
The curtain went up 499 times on an Imagine Theatre pantomime
Over 42,500 costume changes took place
Dawn and the team in our wardrobe department prep’d over 5,950 costume pieces
Ian, Phil and the stores team have moved over 5,250 scenic pieces in and out of our stores
Our props team worked their way through more than 20 pots of ultra violet paint, a VERY large box of hot glue gun glue sticks and 10 LARGE roles of bubble wrap
We mixed 4,624 litres of slosh
There were nearly 4,000 pyros let off
There was over 1.75km of text written on the show reports
We obtained 257 licenses for children to perform on stage
We employed 234 people to work on our productions
This year the Imagine team watched 115 pantomimes
And over 250,000 people watched an Imagine Theatre panto
Thank you so much to all the casts, crew, venue staff, audiences and anyone who has helped us in any way for this pantomime season. We couldn't have done it without you and we are forever grateful.

10th January 2010 - Getting ready for next season
Ok, so today may be the final day of performances for the two Imagine pantos of the 2009 season that are still open (Loughborough and Inverness) but that doesn't mean work stops at Imagine. We're already well underway with planning for the 2010 season. Here's some of the things we're currently working on....
Performance schedules for all our 2010 productions
Artwork, posters and flyers
Marketing plans, photo shoot dates and babes auditon dates.
Planning of which sets, special effects, props and costumes we will use for our own 2010 shows so we know what is left to hire out to other producers and theatres
Post production meetings from the 2009 season, and preliminary pre-production meetings for 2010
Creating a massive Gantt chart of all the activities due to take place in 2010, their deadlines and who is responsible in the team
Any set, props, special effects and costume damage that may have occured during the season so we can sort repairs and recharges.
So it's true what we say - at Imagine, pantomime isn't just for Christmas, it's for every day of the year! Oh yes it is! ;O)
