Imagine Theatre is delighted to announce that it will be co-producing the 2009 Shaw Theatre, London pantomime with Penny Rock Productions (www.pennyrock.net).

14th December - FIRE..... but the show WILL go on!
Well, what a day! The audience was merrily watching the second show of the day, when, about 10 mins before the end of the show at around 3.30pm today, FIRE broke out at the Novotel, St Pancras, which is the hotel that houses the Shaw Theatre.
Fire alarms immediately sounded, and the audience and cast of Aladdin were evacuated onto Euston Road outside the front of the theatre.
Audience members found themselves mingling with the cast (still in full costume and carrying their instruments) who had just been entertaining them.
After a short while out in the road, the neighbouring British Library invited the cast in for a cup of tea, and to warm up!
Eventually the fire (on the 5th floor of the hotel, adjacent to the hotel sauna) was brought under control. The Hotel suffered considerable water damage, but thankfully the theatre was not affected, and the show will go on!
Our thanks go to the highly efficient theatre team, and hotel staff for ensuring the whole building was successfully evacuated with no injuries or problems.
